Ben Franklin Boys beat Vadebilt in triple OT. They tied it up with a minute to go in regulation.

I read that on Facebook from a friend who has a kid on the Vandebilt team.

Congratulations Coach Jose Ferrand. John Curtis placekicker c/o '95 and the coach of both of Ben Franklin's teams. I was a good friend of his younger brother in school. Dad was a Purple Heart recipient, double leg amputee, and one of the best soccer coaches around

It was double OT, but yeah...sucks for my Terriers and my little brother. They gave up the game tying goal with maybe a minute to go in stoppage time...I didn't think they'd win after hearing that.

Saw on the LHSAA message board that this was the 17th state championship game in LHSAA history to go to overtime, of those only two went to PK's...2008 vandy vs teurlings and...exactly 10 years ago, vandy vs Ben franklin.
