Like Taylor Hackford
Exactly. This bugs me more than superheroes not helping each other.

White guilt and bullshite? The only thing that that film had in common with the actual source material is that at one point, there was a black butler in the White House and that he was there for a long time. Everything else was a complete lie in that movie. So glad that the Academy didn't fall for this movie's bullshite. 21 Years a Slave is an actual great film, but I doubt a thought went into this film that didn't involve white guilt.

This film disgusts me. What kind of pathetic puts their name in the title of the movie. Did that make Lee feel better about himself?

I expected to love it, but I got bored during a lot of it.

Yep.
It was about as accurate as a Dwight Howard 3 point shot or mid range jumper.
It's a shame really, Forest Whitaker is one of my favorite actors.

If they would have told the true story and not added all the untrue stuff it would have been a lot better.

Like all Tyler Perry movies, I have zero desire to see this.
Wait? Lee Daniels a pseudo-name for Tyler Perry, right?

Well, I guess I am misinformed.
Granted, I didn't reference anything in the movie with any documented events. I derserve every downvote I recieved.
I still loved the FICTIONAL movie.

It wasn't by choice.
From Wiki:
"The film's title was up for a possible rename due to a Motion Picture Association of America claim from Warner Bros., which had inherited from the defunct Lubin Company a now-lost 1916 silent short film with the same name.[9][31] The case was subsequently resolved with the MPAA granting the Weinstein Company permission to add Daniels' name in front of the title, under the condition that his name was "75% the size of The Butler".[32] On July 23, 2013, the distributor unveiled a revised poster, displaying the title as Lee Daniels' The Butler.[33]"
