Count me in this group. I hate how live sports have become nothing but constant noise-making. If I wanted to hear all this bullshite, I would go to an NFL, or especially an NBA game.

You don't get what he's suggesting, they chant STTDB during and only during the piped in music and not while the band is playing. All band songs get reinstated and piped in music gets banned.

Doesn't bother me a bit. When I don't like the song I ignore it. Other times I really enjoy the music.

1. we need to embrace STTDB

While that is a good strategy in theory...With our new speaker system you can easily drown out the student section and with a much better result than with the student band. Also, just pick music that does not have a relatively 'low' or 'quiet' chorus or section.
To get to another point. If this is the only way the SEC is trying to counter the growing decline of student attendance I do not think it will be enough. Allowing alcohol sales as well as the incorporation of technology to the game experience will be the major way in my mind to bring student's back. The student's of today have grown up in a world of constant mass media and technology. The simple draw of the game is not enough to keep their attention. NOW GET OFF MY LAWN!

While I agree that much of the piped in music is crap, I was at the LSU-TCU game last season ans the put the LSU "Boom" video on the screen right after TCU had scored and the crowd was down. After that music video the crowd wad fired up and electric and the team seemed to come alive and quickly scored after a great kickoff return. Not saying that the music inspired the team/crowd, but it sure made the game more fun.

If they do it during piped in music but not for the band I can get behind their immaturity and trashiness.
