Before someone says this is the wrong board, I wanted to see what the OT had to say first. My girlfriends dad's birthday is coming up and he likes fine scotch and bourbon. Anything y'all would reccomend?

Hopefully no more than 100 dollars is what I'd like to spend.

There's only a 300 page thread on Bourbon on the F&D board.

Oh, and Bourbon go with Wild Turkey Rare Breed or Jack Single Barrel. Both are excellent and not more than $55 tops.

No more than a hundred.....Balvenie 12yr Doublewood, Balvenie 14yr Carribean Rum Cask, Balvenie 15yr, Aberlour 16 year, Aberlour Abundh, a few Macallan that are younger than the 18yr.

For one of the best scotches you will ever taste for $130.00 or so, you can get the Balvenie 17yr Doublewood which recently came out.

You can get a ton of really really good bourbons for under $100.00. Way more than Scotch.

The Doublewood is twelve years of very excellent aging of scotch, near to fifty when I last bought some. Knobcreek for bourbon is slightly cheaper in price served over rocks and sipping whiskey.
