How many games will Sark win in his first season at USC?

Will the Arizona schools continue their rise to prominence and reach a high level of mutual play not seen in the state since the early 1990s?

How will Chris Petersen fare in his first season in Seattle?

Will Sonny Dykes work his magic in Berkeley?

Is Stanford going to take a step back or continue to be a top five program nationally?

Will Mike Leach continue to turn around Wazzou or is it a coaching graveyard?

Is UCLA really a darkhorse national title contender?

Seriously though, what's up with Utah and Colorado?

Seriously though, the Pac 12 is the second best conference in CFB and has a plethora of proven coaches roaming the sidelines.

There's also a decent group of young talent heading to the Pac 12 this season:

Arizona signed six four-star players
Arizona State signed seven four-star players
Cal signed three four-star players
Colorado signed one four-star player
Oregon signed five four-star players
Stanford signed nine four-star players
UCLA signed eleven four-star players
USC signed two five-star players and nine four-star players
Washington signed three four-star players

I get tired of the Oregon schtick.

They've been embarrassed by quality teams throughout the past few years and usually just whip up on cupcakes.

For the love of god, their offense beat their defense 65-0 in their 2013 spring game

Well you could do that for any big conference on any given year...

Should go 10-3 (includes a bowl win.)

They'll both be decent, maybe top 25 teams.

quote:

How will Chris Petersen fare in his first season in Seattle?

He's going to find out how hard it is to win week-in, week-out in a real conference. He'll do well to win 7 or 8 games.

Will Sonny Dykes work his magic in Berkeley?
They'll be a little bit better, but Kal is still a train wreck.

quote:

Rebuilding year for them, and lost some key players. Step back, but still real good. Top 20, maybe top 15.

quote:

Will Mike Leach continue to turn around Wazzou or is it a coaching graveyard?

Had his team going in the right direction, but their bowl loss (in puzzling fashion) tells you all you need to know about Leach's Cougs.

Nope. Undeniable talent there, and plenty of depth, but Mora, while a good coach, is a dumbass. He'll screw it up somehow.

Utah has some talent, were afflicted with QB injury that hurt them throughout the season last year, but showed signs of life (Stanford upset.) Colorado has almost no talent.

The overall strength of the conference will improve in the next few years IMHO, as the PAC 12 TV money keeps rolling in. USC will finally be relieved of it's Bush-gate sanctions after this season, and will likely emerge as a playoff contender sooner rather than later.

The Pac-12 is a fun conference. I don't know if there is a balanced enough national title contender there right now. Does any team there have the right mix of defense and offense to win a four-team playoff?

ucla is the most complete team on O/D right now, and they have plenty of talent and depth.

They're lacking the intangibles though, the consistency of a high enough level of play, in my opinion to take them to that level.

Honestly, I think that Hundley is the big inconsistency question. He is not consistent enough to lead that team to a NC.

How about USC? Will the D continue to be strong? Sark can get the O going.

There will be 7 teams that will be good enough to be ranked 10-25 in the polls anytime during the season...

But since they will all be playing and beating each other - their records will include 2-4 losses.

No truly elite top 5 team...but a conference choke full of really really good teams canceling each other out.

Arizona will continue to rise. ASU is going to fall back, they lost a lot of their defense this year.

Second-tier in the north.

Cal is a truck wreck and its going to take more then a couple of years to right that ship.

Just win baby.

They will continue their slow ascent.

Yes. They win the conference next year.

Utah should have never been invited and it shows. Colorado thought they were going to get better instantly when they left a tough big 12 for a "pathetic" pac 12. Problem is Colorado continues to hamstring itself with recruiting.

UW's schedule is a joke this year. His expectations are a 9 or 10 win season at this point. He is essentially getting 4 gimmies for OOC, which means he just needs to go 5 of the next 10 (including the bowl game) to get to 9 wins.
