I have Live at the Regal and like it a lot, but it has the same drawback that all live recordings have.
A few of my favorites:
Albert King, Born Under a Bad Sign
Robert Johnson, King of the Delta Blues Singers
Albert Collins, Ice Pickin
Son House, Father of the Delta Blues
Buddy Guy, Damn Right I Got the Blues
Freddie King, Burgler

Two of my favorite BB live albums:
Some others you might like:
This needs to be listened to in a dark room with glass of whiskey, preferably with headphones
I've got probably 500+ blues cds....too many to pick from

Not sure if better, but it appears you are looking for recs. I submit Albert King And SRV : In Session

Its a good album, but the best ever?!? Nah, I'll take anything Johnny Adams ever recorded for Rounder Records.

It seems that I can agree with you on something.
Best blues album IMO. I listen to this, or at least a few songs from it, on a weekly basis.

LA- with your Warehouse list and those we oughta do some music sometime when I'm there. We're in the process of moving to South America right now. After that, we anticipate getting to see our first grandchild in Burbank more often.
My faves that come to mind first-
These compilations make my list over any of their individual works-
and the Muddy Waters and Howlin Wolf Chess Box Sets
