If they didn't have 6 guards already on the roster, yes.
Jimmer isn't particularly good, but he would fit the profile of the bench spread and shred we're seeing more of these days. And he will come cheap.
If you can turn Gordon/Roberts into Jimmer and a frontcourt player, that is a win.

Not real sure why they would buy him out. He is a free agent at the end of the season because they didn't exercise the 14-15 option.

I was one who thought Jimmer would have more success than he's having. He was lighting it up from everywhere at BYU.

Indications are the problems aren't with his shooting but, instead, with his defense.
Make him a bench sharpshooter a la JJ Reddick and he can do you some good. Just don't expect 40 minutes a night out of him.
