Just glancing at his measurables and comparing him to other guys at his position, I think Lamin definitely helped himself this week and outside of Odell, was probably the most solid performer at the combine from LSU.
Where do you think he projects ? and What type of pro scheme?
I see a rotational linebacker used in third down coverage and a future special teams stud ala steltz for the bears.

Just seems like their points are contradicted in that analysis of his strengths and weaknesses.
Kind of how ESPN's analysis of Leonard Fournette saying his only major flaw is elite spreed yet they talked about how fast he was.

I think the interpretations are always off a bit but so is any purely subjective assessment.
Bottom line for Lamin is that I thought he would be one of those Tigers who would likely go undrafted. His showing out a little kind of opened some doors and may have made him a late second day or early third day draft pick.

The next Perry Riley. He was hampered by playing with a weak DL and terrible LBs

In a normal year he could be a late 2nd/early 3rd rd pick. This year is so stacked that I think hes a 4th rd guy even after a very good combine. He definitely improved his stock with that solid 40 time.

thats a pretty generous assessment to me, but I see how his measurables can lead to that thought process.
He exceeded my expectations as far as combine skills go.

We didn't have terrible LB's, we just didn't have the right keys to the system in 2013.

It is generous. But its just a fact nowadays that 40 time can catapult you way above your previously slated draft projection. Also, LSU, BAMA and UF players get a pretty big premium in draft stock.
I agree with most of you that he's probably a special teams guy, but I also agree that poor D-line play probably hampered him this year.

It's worth noting that the write-ups are generated before the combine usually so they do not always mirror the results at the combine.
