Urban moose may have more road skills than some people.

He actually did after the video cut off. Nice use of a turn lane.

They're really some obstinate critters. If they're in your yard, it's their yard..at least for a while.

Hiked the AT and saw literally hundreds of pounds of moose droppings. Never saw a moose.

Lived near Rocky Mountain National Park. Never saw a moose.

Hiked all over CO, WY, & ID. Never saw a moose.

Moved to Alaska. Within the first 30 minutes on the ground from my flight I see a 1,000+ lb. bull walking down the highway. Now I see a minimum of a half dozen a day. It went from amazing to neat to typical to meh to annoying. I've had several closes calls late at night, one where I ended up in a ditch. I've had 2 colleagues hit moose in the past 4 months. Don't count on that eye shine/reflection as with other critters. And when you hit one, you're screwed.

It's crazy to never see a squirrel here, but to wake up with moose napping on your lawn on a regular basis.

They like to cross in front of the car where the road is illuminated. I had one run beside the car then turn sharply in front of me I nailed it, but slowed enough to keep from damaging the car too badly. Weir to see a flurry of hooves and fur on your hood.

We went to Alaska about 10 years ago and stayed in a small motel near the Anchorage airport used by many hunters and fishermen. The first morning I was up early drinking coffee and looking at all the pics on the bulletin board of catches and kills. There was a pic of a bull moose lying under a tree next to a building. I looked out the entrance of the motel and realized the tree was just about ten feet from the door. I asked the clerk about it and he said it happened alot and showed me a pic of a moose in his yard he had taken that very morning. We saw several on the trip.

We were in Denali later that week and I was in a little restaurant early in the morning having coffee and talking to the manager who was pissed off. After asking what was wrong he says, " Six million acres! SIX Million acres in this frickin park and that effen moose had to step I front of MY car last night!"
Totaled his car.
