Sneak back onto some of that LOOP property near Galliano. Success awaits.

Definitely not PAC marina for a beginner. The current in the canal at the marina can be brutal. Better if launching from island road. Lots of easy fishing marsh with zero boat traffic.

They have 3 detailed newbie fishing spots laid out. Real solid info there. I've been researching for months, now I have to find a good deal on a yak and pull the trigger.

Delacroix has some easy paddling to some nice fishing grounds. I think I'm the resident Delacroix homer so take it for what's its worth. Don't have a lot of experienced further west.

Hwy 1 from Leeville to Grand Isle. It is the Mecca of inshore kayak fishing.

Lemme give all the yakless guys a hint:

If this is something you know you will enjoy, just go ahead and buy a good kayak. Hobie, KC, Jackson

As soon as you're in one you won't want to go back.

Yes.

It's the one that I have and it works just fine. Im 6-4 255lb.....its just right.

I drive a Nissan while my wife wanted the Infinity. I don't see the difference, but I'm a man.

go cheap first......even take a look at craigslist and look at the asking prices. They should be less than half of what the new versions are.

I've kayak fished much of south LA and one of the easiest places to get to with pretty good fishing is the Lake Catherine/Gohagen Canal area. A lot of water without a long paddle and lots of redfish.
