I know some of the guys here have some inside info, so I was wondering what deals were on the table at the trade deadline and what where we close to doing?

Apparently from the other thread, we almost got Durant.

It usually takes several weeks to a few months for these things to leak out, and it's often as a tangent in another article. No one really does a "trades that almost happened" recap. I will say that based on the rumors during the trade deadline Demps was looking for any kind of value for any of our guards but obviously didn't get any, or at least not enough. They've been saying for a while that 1sts are more valuable under the new CBA and so far the only 1st that's changed hands this year is Phoenix getting one from Washington when they did Okafor for Gortat. No 1sts were traded at the deadline even though lots of people including the Pelicans were looking for them.

I heard that we nearly traded Pierre Jackson for LeBron James, but the Pelicans nixed the deal because LeBron alone wasn't enough value for the juggernaut that is Pierre Jackson.
