Odell Beckham all but solidified a spot in the 1st of the NFL draft, running 4.31 in the 40, then topping it off winning “top performer” in the 20-yard and 60-yard shuttle. Beckham is a unique talent with uncanny ability to gain yards after the catch, as was shown at LSU this year and in the combine shuttle drills.

Was not an impactful punt returner. Was held in check by Florida and Alabama.

Really? Did they do any research other than WR stats?

Lacks elite top-end speed

This is so dumb to me. The guy ran a 4.43. While that's not necessarily mind-blowing speed, it plenty fast for the NFL, even at his size. Plus, he's very quick. Just watch his TD vs. Kentucky his Freshman year to see an example of his ability in open space.

There was never a question to who the most athletic player on offense was. That's why he was involved on offense and special teams. He had a great day. He still does not get the love he deserves across the board on here for the work he has done at wr, but I don't think anybody ever questioned his athletic ability.

I think some fans made mistakes by placing their expectations too high after the great Frosh season he had. He really did have a great career and I think he's the one to keep the 1st round draft pick streak going.

No.... Jarvis is an all time great at LSU and 1 of the move beloved players we have had in recent memory. Physical, tough, clutch and reliable.

OBJ dominated inferior opponents and had costly mistakes in big games.... fumble vs UF and muff punt vs UGA this year. Also didnt do too much against legit DBs.

Great athlete. And made great plays, also made big mistakes. And will always be 2nd to Jarvis by LSU fans.

Their receiver stats were almost identical and Beckham was drawing the #1 guy all year. Although he had some faults, there's a reason Beckham was called on in those opportunities over every other player on the LSU roster. He delivered way more than he hurt us. And I love how Beckham gets no credit for toughness…..he pancaked guys all year along with Landry. Seriously, these 2 guys are 2 of the best pound for pound football players around. Beckham was 1 of the greatest athletes to line up at wr ever…period.

He wasn't even guaranteed to be a first rounder before the combine, now he's going to be the first WR taken? Don't think so.

You're gonna have to show me where someone said he was. Beckham was 95% a first rounder prior to the combine, now will probably be the 3rd WR drafted. Top 20 pick.

I agree. I don't understand the minimizing of Beckham's contributions either. It seemed Landry was always given his due, which he deserved, but Beckham not so much.

This is real fast. Its a good bit better than what I expected honestly. sub 4.4 is not common. You are still incredibly fast at 4.4x.

The Patriots or Denver is gonna scoop a OB or Landry up and they will be stars.

I can see Landry 3rd Round Patriots
OB is going 2nd Round

I can see OBJ sneaking into the bottom of the 1st. I still think hes the 4th receiver taken after Watkins, Evans and Benjamin. But this is a very strong WR class, although its probably the best draft of the past 10 yrs.

I can see OB sliding into back end of the 1st Round.

Your going to see a run on WR in the 2nd Round IMO. That's why I think Landry is sitting strong as a 3rd Rounder. The measurable's are important but not as important as the film and Juicy is true value pick. He is so physical for his size and a real playmaker with so many intangibles going for him.
