Specifically, a Prius or Insight. I'm considering one for my work commute. Appreciate thoughts from anyone with experience.

There are plenty of less gay vehicles with good gas mileage. Congrats on the dicks.

Saving money is soooo gay!!! It wouldn't be my choice, but I value performance. To quote Mr. Rooney's secretary, what a little a-hole.

I would post this on the money board to get serious answers. The young, scared, and afraid of what others think brigade is too insecure to offer insights.

If you really want a hybrid, get a Honda Civic hybrid. Same appearance as the regular Civic.

FIL does. Lives in Central, works in Livonia and gets around 45-50 I think.

I expected as much, but I'm holding out hope that maybe a few people that aren't 14 might drop some input.

Do they make a hatchback? I'm only finding sedans.

my father drives nearly 50k miles a year so he got a prius a few years ago. He loves it. As he lives in the backwoods of alabama, everyone makes fun of him but he doesn't mind. I stuck an Obama sticker on his car last year and he came out to two flat tires. Just a heads up...

And you can lock in that sales price at a fixed monthly and not have it change. Mileage and gas prices not so much.

Bought a new Fusion Hybrid a few months back cause I was tired of paying $200 a month to drive to work (40 mile round trip commute). Cut my gas bill in half and the car drives extremely smooth. Barely notice the switch from electric to gas. Has plenty of power when I need it too.

Listed MPG is 48 and I get 44, no matter highway or city. Drove from NE of Atlanta to Tampa for New Year's on just over a tank.
