After watching the 40 are there still people who still have Robinson over Matthews or yal think the position drills would give a better answer.
Matthews- 4.40
Robinson- 4.56

I've always been interested in Matthews and I have been a supporter of taking him with our 1st pick for a while. It seems like he's fallen out of the spotlight lately. Not sure why. He looked great at the Senior Bowl (at least in practice), and now at the combine he is looking pretty good. 4.40 is a lot faster than people were expecting from him.

He's big, fast and he can definitely catch the ball. I'm interested in him.

I want one of the two obvious big WR studs, but if that doesn't happen, then which ever one we draft better be 6'3" or taller.

Moncrief from Ole Miss with a 4.35. I'm starting to think since this years class has so many wide outs we should just wait and pick up 2 in the later rounds and get Corner and O-Line the first two

Pop quiz

Who is a 6'3" 220Lb WR who runs a 4.3 40 tied for 3rd at 20 reps?

If Matthews falls to us and we don't take him I'd be quite disappointed.

Just depends really. We will probably take someone we would never have thought of but really need like Vaccaro last year

Corner depth is another top priority so I'm good with this. Except we only need an upgrade at Center on the line if Streif resigns. And it's rare to draft a canter in the first 2 rounds.

I brought him up in another thread a little bit ago. Very intriguing small school NFL hopeful. Looked good in all of his drills. A little skeptical about his first 40 run at 4.30... Think it could have been a clocking error but the young man has def caught my attention.

Matthews official time was a 4.46

He is 6'3 and has a 35+ vertical and has the biggest hands of all the WRs at the combine.

He would definitely be a great fit for the Saints. Anyone think he goes in the 1st or 2nd?

I think the 1st 4 gone are definitely Watkins\Evans\Marquis Lee\Benjamin then 5th could be OBJ

I think Lee has fallen out of the 1st round and behind both OBJ and Brandin Cooks.

I really don't think there's a GREAT player worthy of a 1st round pick available at 27. I wish we could trade back and get an extra 2nd and 3rd and draft some really really good players that will be available

Ive constantly raved about Matthews. Said hes a top 3 WR in this class, regardless of combine #s or where analysts have him on their boards. And his combine #s are better than I thought.

Great combine #s, but hes even better on the field. Great hands, route running, size, and attitude. And best part about him is that hes reliable and wants the ball thrown his way during clutch time.

Moncrief is a stud too.

And another guy under th radar is Martavis Bryant from Clemson. 6'4, 212lbs and ran 4.42 with a 39inch vert.

This is 1 of the more loaded WR draft classes in recent memory.

Yes.

2nd round if I had to guess.
