Feel like it's going to be boring as hell. Need some serious advice on what to do to enjoy myself.

Yep.

Pompeii and Isle of Capri are my favorite places to visit in Italy.

It'll only be as boring as you make it. Vivi la vita.

I thought it was awesome. Not boring at all.

But then again, I like art, architecture, compact walkable cities, great food, rich heritage/history, beautiful scenery, and nice people.

If you don't like those things, you won't enjoy Italy and should go to Six Flags instead.

How old are you?

Do you like food?

Do you like wine?

Do you like art?

Do you like architecture?

Do you like history?

Do you like graffiti on every surface reachable by a human hand?

Do you like smoking hot Italian chicks?

If all you want to do is go out and get drunk and pick up chicks, just go somewhere in the states and do that.

If you want to experience culture, art, and great food, I can't think of a better place than Italy.

Capri and the Amalfi coast are great, but I have to go with Florence.

That's a terrible attitude.

You should probably just stay in the hotel bar and eat at McDonald's and Olive Garden.

I've been twice. Do the Lamborghini factory tour if you can. It was great.

Trust me I know. I'm not going into the trip trying to hate every second of it. More like, lowering expectations. I just need some good recs to give me that first little push of the snowball of a good time.
