Visually stunning? Yes

But boring. At the 90 minute mark i was begging it to end.

And what is the real story? The tiger one or the one where he kills the butcher?

I loved it. Pretty sure the tiger didn't actually happen.

Well, it is not clear. What is clear is that God while a myth to the movie is the preferred story, like Richard Parker.

I loved this movie. Best of 2013.

Is Dances with Wolves boring? Shawshank Redemption?

It's telling a story. Sorry you got bored. Transformers 12 will be out soon, no need for story telling.

Meerkat Island.

I liked the visuals quite a bit but the story was ultimately pretty lame.

Was a great movie to me.

Thought it was going to be cheesy based on the trailers and knowing nothing about the book.

^ what he said. I read the story and liked it in saying that the movie was meh. I'd rather watch transformers 13 and I'm not fond of them either

Spoilers.............

The way I interpreted the end was that his main story was the better story because it was a lot of impossible things happening and the real story which he told to the Japanese men was a lot more boring but true.

Then he basically said the most of what you read (ex. Bible) has a lot of fantastical stories in it that may not have actually happened, but the main points are true "As it goes with God"

It says what the Bible's critics always are saying--that can't happen, didn't happen. What the end says about that is that the main ideas happened but the stories may have tweaked to make it a more memorable and better story for the sake of getting the main story points across.

That's how I interpreted it anyway.

I didn't care for it either. I forced myself to finish it and was underwhelmed by the plot twist even though it was unexpected. I already saw that with the final episode of M*A*S*H when it was a baby not a chicken.

Pretty much what I got out of it as the point. Since it is more comfortable to believe in God, you might as well believe even if that isn't the most plausible explanation. What you choose to believe ultimately has no effect on the outcome anyway.

That's probably closer to the intended interpretation than what I wrote.
