Searched and didn't see anything.

Heroes Reborn:

"An iconic series that still commands a rabid fan base, “Heroes” will return to the network in 2015 as an event miniseries with original creator and executive producer Tim Kring at the helm, it was announced today by NBC Entertainment President Jennifer Salke.

NBC has ordered 13 episodes for a new stand-alone story arc entitled “Heroes Reborn,” with all details of storylines and characters being kept under wraps."

The original series would've worked better as a miniseries. I bailed in the middle of season 2 so if this is a stand alone thing it has potential.

Hilarious.

For comic readers, "Heroes Reborn" is the biggest misstep in the history of Marvel Comics.

Nice choice of show name.

The writers strike hurt the show pretty bad, but Skylar's popularity hurt it also. He should've died in the first season finale IMO.

I also never understood why they kept changing Ali Larter's character so much. That never made any sense to me. How did she go from Niki to Tracy?

And giving Suresh powers seemed really forced also. His character would've been a lot better had they kept him a normal human IMO.

Southland was cancelled by NBC and brought back by TNT. Friday night lights and Damages were not exactly cancelled but were saved by Directv in sone kind of partnership deal. Although Damages may have been cancelled because it never came back to FX the way fnl did to nbc. Netflix bringing back a final season of Arrested Development and now The Killing.

Actually the NCIS franchise falls into this category of resurrected shows. It is a spinoff of Jag that aired for one season on NBC before being cancelled and picked up by CBS.

NBC is really fricking desperate in order to reboot this. Can't think of a series that faceplanted more than Heroes.

For sure, and they should have also gone through with the threat of New York being destroyed. The writers completely pussed out, and refused to be ballsy and take the series in a different direction.

Say what you will about LOST, but the series clearly had balls. Heroes in its first season was said to be superior to LOST and taking its place. But when Heroes pussed out on its end of the season, LOST delivered one of the best and most ballsy finales of all time to end off their season.

Television critics named season one of Heroes program of the year over season four of The Wire. While that is clearly insane it shows the potential season one had with a solid plan and a hard end date it's possible for it to be a good show.

I mean, it's a cool as heck idea that the writers and creators started to think they were above general good storytelling and comic book rules.

They should have stuck to their guns. If they rip away the sudden popularity of certain characters, focus on the good parts of superhero mythos, and tell stories, they can succeed.

I was just about to write this. I remember reading a huge article somewhere talking about how Heroes was so much better than lost and had more compelling characters and storylines after season 1. WRONG

Yeah, the critics and hardcore Heroes fans shut the frick up pretty quickly. I remember being a member of a board where there was a war among the Heroes and Lost fans. After the disaster finale that even the hardcore fans had to admit sucked, they started attacking the unaired finale episode of Lost saying that it would be just as bad. That finale did everything Heroes' finale didn't. It was ballsy, it took risks, it had action, love, and loss, it changed the format of the entire show for good, and is still regarded as one of the greatest episodes of television ever made. They shut their traps pretty quickly.
