Skyrim DLC. can someone help me?

Played and beat the game a long time ago. Got to level 67 and just got bored. It's been over a year and a half since I've played and 3 dlc's have come out. I am playing and I am having trouble figuring this out. Do they have to be purchased or something? How do I start the quest?

Well you haven't even told us what platform you on. Regardless, you purchase the dlc and then once in-game a courier delivers a note which starts the DLC. The only one worth owning is Dragonborn

Xbox? Buy it on Live. Once you buy it the game will literally tell you about a new quest/land to go to.

Dragonborn was a great expansion, especially if you played Morrowind.
