Red river brewing

Does this place do tours or tastings yet? Im in shreveport and headed to great raft today, but was wondering if i could get to try some red river beers as well. Tia.

Doubt it. Those guys work their butt off tho, they are probably working now. Operation is still pretty small, just not geared for it yet. I am a fan. Mucho moreso than Great Raft.

Interesting. Board opinion seems to swing the other way. Is there any place in town to try their beers on tap?

Did you see that video about Louisiana craft beer? The guy from red river said in it that they're only open on Saturdays.

Me too. Thats why i was asking, because i cant find anywhere else that says that. I also emailed them the other day and never heard back.

I tasted 2 red river brewing beers at a taster event at Bear's. Great raft was there too. This was last summer and I thought great raft >>>>>> red river

I know they are small, and if they are open, I think they welcome guests.
The only beer they have right now is Hay Rayed, and it's...ok. Although they did have an Amarillo dry hopped version at Rotolos this week that was good.
You do know that GR closes at 4 today because of the parade, right?

If I weren't watching my daughter today I'd come have a beer with you. Hopefully I can still find some time to at least get a growler fill for the parade.

Rotolos. They only had 1 RR thur night tho. Have GR as well.

Thanks. Got my gf and my 4 year old with me, so i doubt that happens. Probably stop at leas for lunch tomorrow.
I had an awesome time at great raft. Wish they had more beers that fit styles i like, but they make good beer regardless.
