Mid March to be safe. The only concern is assuring that we've gotten our last frost of the winter. Anytime after you can role with it.

Don't break the ground during lent is what my PawPaw always said he had a super nice garden every year. I'm going to go with that.

Although I did till up a spot Monday where I'm putting a new garden.

a small raised bed

Any suggestions?

If you make a raised bed use cinder blocks and use the holes in the cinder blocks to plant herbs and other small plants.

Was hoping to have the ground tilled by the end of this month, but just like last year, the rain has slowed everything down.

We didn't get to plant much last year, it was April before the ground was dry enough to work.

just went by ACE Hardware and they had their lettuce, spinach, and onions out. bought a bunch and started planting. will cover when freezes again. in raised bed. seemed kinda early for them to be selling.
