My CIL caught a few on the south end under the bridge by the free launch... Fluke on the bank... He caught 5 today at Chicot... 2 on a buzzbait

This time of year I've had a lot of success on flukes and finesse worms fished weightless. Watermelon red if it's cloudy or the water has color to it, watermelon seed if it's sunny and clear.

No problem. If the water's warm enough(60s) look for some on beds. You can find some surprisingly big fish in that lake this time of year.

Caught 8 . Just fried them. Finesse worm was the ticket. Talked to several boats that caught nothing...

They like that little sucker! I've been several times and caught when nobody else did on it. What color you get em on?

Finesse worm in coves, for smallies.

Swim bait by dam over grass, for less bites, bigger fish.

He must be a good fisherman. We talked to one guy that said he caught over 40 one day last week and caught none by noon.
We caught many of them on 10 feet of water.

Going to Toledo for 3 days next weekend.
Since we have cold weather coming we not sure if we are fishing day/bass or night/white perch.

Going again for a week in april and that should be all bass. White bass may be on then too and may set some jug lines.
