No. Just NO. Leave our childhoods alone and stop trying to shove that egotistical dbag down the world’s throats. Let him win his games, retire, and disappear to the mountains with the money he’s already made.

They've had a sequel in the works for 18 years, just had to wait on the proper superstar to film it. An entire generation missed out on Space Jam because Kobe couldn't live up to the hype.

I'm sorry, I love the original space jam. I love Micgael Jordan. I don't think the sequel could come close to matching it. But I can't let shite like that go. You're going to call Lebron an egotistical douchebag? Lebrons ego and douchiness were a molehill compared to Jordan's mountain.

If you're in favor of this, here are some sentences that might make you hesitate:

quote:

Another Space Jam film? Why not?

quote:

He has been brought on to the produce the picture through his production company, The Company, from a script by his brother Willie Ebersol. The latter won an Emmy for the London Olympics. This is his first screenplay.

quote:

Space Jam 2 marks Charlie Ebersol’s first major film deal as he is best known for unscripted TV such as The Moment, about second chances for people who are given the opportunity to reclaim their career dreams after their lives have taken an unexpected turn.

So the first screenplay for the writer and the first major film for the producer? That's a pretty ballsy move for Warner Bros. Especially since the NBA's popularity seems to be a good bit lower now than in 1996.

I find it hard to believe that Lebron is too scared to participate in a dunk contest but he'll follow in Michael Jordan's footsteps and try to make a sequel to one of the greatest movies of all time.

All this focus on Lebron and Jordan misses the real question: how much mileage is left on Lola's knees? She was Jordan's pippen, but can she be Lebrons wade?

As Lola goes so does the toon squad go
