Announced today that the feds will not release water to the drought stricken arms of California. That will reduce the growing and harvesting of crops far and wide in the biggest bread basket of the US dining tables.

The Feds are in control of the water in California, so I damned well expressed my disdain and hatred of the govts' sharing of the pain from DC down to your plate asshat. You unfortunately will feel the pain every time you shop and the BOZO band(something you listen to everyday) will be playing in the background.

If only, they used water to ensure the snail farter or some bullshite had water to reproduce.

If we grew our own food instead of lawns we wouldn't be dependent on weather 9 states away.

They're having a 500 year drought.
It's the right move

So basically a knee-jerk reaction based on no fact on the matter.

I just wonder what in your life has validated your view of yourself being smart when evidence sure seems to be to the contrary.

It's arid land. Always has been (at least in the last 1000 years). Transients from the east and midwest just moved out west and started living like it's St. Louis. It's mostly fricking desert! 125 golf courses in Palm Springs and an annual rainfall of less than 4 inches. Duh.

And yes I know it's not all desert.

The situation is terrible out here. It feels like summer. The animals are all confused, too. Tarantulas usually appear around June. Saw a bunch while hiking yesterday evening.

Do you know that the Reclamation Bureau runs and controls water for most of the southwest? Or were you just trying to be clever by talking out of your arse?

It was in the 80's today and has been dry and warm most of this winter. Fortunately, it looks like we may start getting some rain next week with a pattern of storms coming through in March.

It amounts to 7% of the ag land in the Central Valley getting zero water.

The development out there has been so unsustainable, it was only a matter of time before something like this happened with the already low water level and a record drought.

The fact that Las Vegas exists is a head scratcher.

This country shouldn't rely on Cali for shite. They are nothing but a problem with every facet of their being. Become another country please and quit sucking off of the real people.
