Shrimp corn dogs. I just posted the recipe recently. If you can't find it, let me know.

Crabmeat or shrimp layered dip (see recipe book)

Shrimp and andouille mini muffins (see recipe book or let me know if you can't find them)

Order some mini meat pies from Lasyone's and fry 'em up. People will love them.

Mini muffalattas

Those ham sandwiches you make with the Hawaiian rolls. I can find that recipe if you're interested. They always go quickly.

Thanks Gris Gris -

I did not post I am in the Houston area. May not be able to get some of the items you suggested, but love the ideas!

Do a crawfish etouffee in a chafing dish surrounded by the little filo cups.

mini muffulettas or even just muffuletta mix type dip to go along with the crawfish dip. you can make french bread crostinis for both. can you get smoked boudin or andouille sausage? cook some on the grill. or do some shrimp kabobs and a big pot of creamy grits with a little bit of spices in it.

maybe make some pralines for dessert (that can be done well in advance)

Meatballs are always a hit.
Little ham sandwiches in Hawaiian rolls like Gris mentioned.
If you want to make a huge splash, order yourself a large Chick Fil A nugget tray with a quart of Polynesian sauce.

Good idea.

Plus, there was a thread a day or two ago about alternative meatball styles. Could be useful.

Sorry, I didn't look at your location and I saw crawfish so I figured you could get some shrimp, andouille/sausage. The meat pies are ordered online and would be a hit.

What can't you get and I'll try to think up some other things. I may have marked some old threads, as well.

You could put out a bunch of Popeye's fried chicken or make some red beans if you want another entree type dish.

Oh, and order a few Haydel's king cakes.

take a flour tortilla

spread some cream cheese on it.
lay out ham on it
put a dill pickle down the middle.

roll it up and cut it into "rounds".

simple and tasty.

For some reason, I've never liked those pinwheel things in any of the various incarnations.

I just don't know how to respond to that.

Purple, green and yellow cauliflower is fun to put out whether for a decoration or for eating. I put it out with a dip for an LSU party. Looked fun and got eaten by the dieter folks.

Boudin dip always disappears.

Single batch:
2 lbs boudin
1 can cream of mushroom
1 can cream of celery
1 pack dry onion soup mix

Mix and heat in crockpot. Fine on chips, better on Ritz.

One of several appetizers that is requested at every gathering.

I can only find Zummo brand at Kroger.

Apparently there is some place in Marietta or Kennesaw, but it would be cheaper to have it shipped from Louisiana than drive half way to Chattanooga to get it.
