Academics? Cedarwood, Christ Episcopal

If you're closer to the west side of Covington, lake castle is a good option in madisonville. They are seriously strict though, if you have a kid that's expressive, creative or likes to push the envelope, look elsewhere.

Your kids are 10x better off in public in St. Tammany. I went through the public school system and it was great, also know some private school kids that couldn't hack it at LSU. Guaranteed they went to SPS and SSA, which are just garbage from what I've heard these days.
Do your kids a favor, its one of the only parishes in LA that you can get a free education and it actually be more beneficial than private schools.

I went to Cedarwood, and it was a really good school.
All the kids that were really ahead in high school (academically) went to Christ Episcopal. All my best friends in high school went to OLL and they were also very well-prepared.
So, I would say Christ Episcopal based on my peers' academic preparedness.
I should clarify...when I say CE is the best, I mean based on academics. All of the schools I mentioned are great schools.

OLL, Cedarwood, or Christ Episcopal would be your best bets.

Newsflash: you're not in Orleans, you can consider public schools unless your kid needs special assistance or something, especially at elementary school age.

While I agree that public schools in Mandeville are very nice, I don't think your criticism of SSA and SPS is warranted. The Northshore is lucky to have such an abundance of top-notch schools.
