Russell Wilson headed to Texas Rangers spring training

The Super Bowl-winning quarterback was selected by the Rangers in the Rule 5 draft and hoped he’d make an appearance at spring training, if for nothing else than to talk to the younger players about leadership qualities.
Wilson played collegiate baseball at North Carolina State and was drafted by Colorado in the fourth round of the 2010 draft.

Hopefully, he can make enough noise the prompt the Rangers to offer him a big league contract. That would force the Seahawks to renegotiate his contract.
