Moving an hour and a half away and company is reimbursing me up to $2,500. What can I expect to get for that price?

If anyone has any moving company recommendations please let em fly.

Do you have a lot of crap?

My buddy moved back home from Arky where he had his first job. He fit everything in his pickup and a little UHaul and pocketed the $3K moving expenses.

If I moved right now, Id happily pay someone $5k to not have to deal with it. Seriously.

Do it yourself - rent a uhaul and some mexicans from the home depot for $250, pocket the $2250 cash.

Moved everything between myself and friends when I graduated college. Not doing that shite again. Have a moving company flyer on my desk at home, can't remember the name though. It's a NOLA company I think, not sure.

I just paid $750.00 to move a 2,500 square foot house. I think you could do a lot with $2,500.00.

I wish I could but it's a reimbursable deal. I spend the money first, then they pay me back. So I'm looking to use every penny of the $2,500 to make it easier on my back.

How far did you move your stuff? I ask just in case I look at some jobs out west in the future.

find a company, negotiate a price, explain to them your situation, split the extra cash.

Sounds like you have some receipt enhancement to do.

Where are you?

We used a moving company in Scott, LA. We moved from Youngsville to the OKC area. We paid about $3200.

I'll be moving with my company within the next year, one of the perks is they pay for a company to come and do everything for you. There are a bunch of other moving bonuses and expenses they pay, but I think that may be the most important. All I have to do is take stuff out of boxes at my new house.

I just moved 10 miles across town. Probably the main reason it was so cheap.
