quote:

From 2009-2012 the Big 12 teams averaged more snaps played on offense and on defense than any other conference. They had the fewest starts lost to injury on both offense and on defense as well as the lowest injury rate per play on offense and defense.
Funny note that means nothing: If injury math was transitive the SEC would have had to slow its pace to a snap every 44.5 seconds to match the Big 12 totals. Or the Big 12 would have had to pick up the pace to a snap every 12.2 seconds for every game for 4 years.

TD.com translation:

The SEC plays real man football and they have to go against the grind week in and week out.

Everyone else plays pussy ball and the SEC makes their arse quit.

Ya, I bet team hand ball does produce less injuries.

Football fans want to see football though.

In all seriousness though, what does it take to add something to the docket to be voted on? How many schools need to sponsor and co-sponsor to get it added?

The fans are already tired of hearing about rule changes for "player safety" when it's pretty clear it's just leagues covering their arse for potential lawsuits.

In this case, it seems the sponsors are trying to use a loophole to get this added this year. And it is gonna fail hard (hopefully).

I know you say this in jest, but the SEC does have the most NFL ready players in terms of speed and size. Common sense, or physics, would tell you the hits are harder.

Maybe those "NFL ready" players are little cry babies that have a little speed but can't take a hit?

Better conditioned athletes tend to get injured less.

Playing well in and against up tempo teams requires better conditioned athletes.

So it makes sense that those teams would have fewer injuries.

That's an illegal hit.

Hence my point of thugs prevalent all over the SEC.

If that hit on Drew Brees was illegal, that's illegal.
