Have had each if them based on recommendations and honestly I was disappointed. Lacked any flavor what so ever. I enjoy Rouses and Whole Foods much better. Us there something Im missing? Is it bad or just truly authentic? Still love all the other Stiens sandwiches

Wow. That is the LAST thing I would get at Stein's. It's all about the Reuben.

Yeah I've never had those either. You'd think though that it would be anything but bland considering their other food and how good it is.

Why buy that type of stuff outside of your own control to meet your own expectations?

Tuna and egg salad is not something I normally pick and when I do my expectations are never much because I prefer making it myself. Now if Joe D's was still around they were phenomenal.

I really dig the smoked chicken salad at WF. I spend more than $50 a week on food.

Rouses chicken salad and deviled egg salad are both great.

I prefer the Rachael. Those who had the Reuben and like pastrami may want to give it a shot.

Just learned about a Rachel a couple days ago. Never been to Steins, but from what I've learned, those would be the sandwiches to try.

The Rachel is the best sandwich in New Orleans. I had >8 in my first month in the city. Now I'm only averaging one a month. It's ungodly-good.

I love the Reuben there and the Sam. I need to get on Rachael.
I would probably never get tuna or egg salad from them. Especially when they have such great other items.

And neither of those have ever been recommended to me either

Foxy is strong.

They used to have "deathradish," and it worked so well with the avocado. Extra horseradish does well, too.

The chicago beef special on saturday is legit.
