Not really sure, I'll ask my butler who deals with such things.

I did some research a few months ago. Settled on a Epson 5030UB with Screen Innovations Black Diamond Zero Edge.

AVS Forums. Check it out and find the projector forum.

lumens?

Depends on how much light you have coming into the room. I know that my old Sanyo Z5 had a solid image with moderate light in the room, so I think that you should be OK with any solid modern digital projector (which all have higher lumen ratings than mine).

Really only an issue if you are limited in terms of how far away from the screen/wall you can put the projector. Or if you have a small room, in which case you probably shouldn't be using a projector at all.

The BenQW1070 seems to be really popular now and is only $875. There aren't as many options for projectors these days as there were just 5 years ago, so it may be a good one to look at unless you're willing to spend twice that.

I've got one for my man cave, been loving it. Got a 100 in screen on my wall and only cost me $600. Use an HDMI switch and it automatically switches between my ps3, uverse and computer. Now I get a lil light during the day but I just have messed with the settings till I found a good set up for brighter days. I guess I could also get curtains for the windows.

I have an Epson 8350 and I love it. I would suggest you first figure out your setup using a projector calculator (google it), as different projectors are better for different setups. For instance, I needed one with a really long throw distance. After that, decide on a price range, then research the hell out of your options. Like someone else mentioned, AVS forums is a great resource.
