Saints are gonna do right by graham and pay him regardless of the cap it will consume

Won't be what he's asking but it never is.

Several players will restructure, others will take pay cuts. Some, primarily along the OL will find new teams

The trade talk is insane.
This too is probably German but so am I so

It's not a reality check when you don't know the future.

But you're right, we'll probably re-sign Graham this or next year.

I think in the end Graham will make a little more than Gronk to make him the highest paid TE.....because ya know.....he's a TE.

"Come on man"

The reality of it he's NOT a WR

Lining a safety up in the box in man coverage 60% of the time dooesn't make him a LB.

IMO he's not elite!!

Good? Yes...

Elite? Come on...

Do elite players get completely taken out of games?
Granted, good players are neutralized by defenses at times.
Are elite players neutralized?

Good Question
I don't know!!!
We can speculate all day long
Does anyone know ??

I really wish our players had the attitude of a shared goal to have the best squad, rather than predominantly on their individual pay.

You would have thought a lot of these professional athletes all came from silver spoon households. Remember where you came from and soak in where you're at, gentlemen.

Time to let him go, he has already shown he does not have a world class game, a good game, above average game but when the chips are down he does not and will not have it.

Agreed Bro

Dump his arse and find the Saints a TE that can get more than just 16 TD's a year!

What would your reaction be if your boss came up to you today and told you that you would have to take a pay cut to keep your job? Would you be happy? Would you look for a new job?

What about if a competitor of your employer offered you twice the salary that you are making now? Would you take it? If yes, then where is your loyalty? What is your sense of shared goal?

These guys have a very limited window to make as much money as they possibly can, all the while knowing that one play could end their career and thus shut that window completely. I'll never fault a person for trying to maximize their earnings when the demand for their services is at its highest.

From a player's perspective, if he foregoes a max contract now there's no guarantee that the same opportunity whill be there for him in 4,5,6 years. In fact, there is a high probability that it won't. Further, if he takes a substantially lower salary for the "good of the team", gets hurt and then subsequently cut, do you think the team is going to come back later and cut him a check for the amount he passed up to help out the team?

While it's a game that we all enjoy watching, never forget that the NFL first and foremost is a business. There's generally a middle ground between team success and individual earnings. That's why there are negotiations. Hopefully the Saints and Graham can find a number where both parties content.

Bingo! Fans like to sit on their high horse and hold professional athletes to moral standards and a sense of loyalty that they wouldn't hold themselves to

exactly. dude is a bum! TE absolutely must catch at least 23 TD's to be considered any good.

It really is amazing how retarded so many people are. In November Jimmay was a God amongst fans. Come contract time? He's just average. I guess all these morons can't see past the tape on their glasses

I agree this is the most likely outcome.

Don't be so sure. I'm sure that Loomis has a plan. Drews contract is made to be restructured next season, conveniently when the cap is supposed to go up. I'm sure that Loomis had an idea of what it was going to cost to sign Graham. But, dont think for a min that the team is going to be handcuffed.

I honestly dont think Payton is going to allow another season with a hodgepodge O-Line. Having Jimmy means nothing if Drew cant stay upright.

Would you give up five million dollars a year for better co-workers at your job?

Trade him for 2 high picks, or a proven starter at oline or a defensive weapon for Ryan
