A buddy had some at the brewery earlier, said it was great. Was wondering if any of you folks swung by there as well. Looking forward to trying it this weekend.

it's very good. top tier ipa. for me, not on the heady/abrasive level, but it's not far behind. I believe they secured the best brewery in LA with this beer.

Without a doubt the best ipa/dipa in the state, and I think the best brewery as well. The most consistent if nothing else.

I haven't had heady or abrasive but I think it's as good as Pliny, although different.

When are they supposed to release it?

I hope it will be available in stores down here. Regardless if it lives up to the huge hype or not. I've enjoyed all of the large bottle offerings from Parish.

Can you compare it to endeavor first?

I'd put it up there with Endeavor and double jack.

Like I said in the FBD thread, I'm hesitant to say anything just yet. I want to get this out of a bottle with a couple weeks under it. That was the freshest ever possible and on tap.

I too think it's a fantastic DIPA. I wish I would have had a fresh Endeavor to do a side by side with. We did Double Jack and Abrasive. But again, it's tough because Ghost was so damn fresh. It's worth the buy.
It'll be out in stores to buy next week. Bottling today, out to distributors tomorrow.

Apparently I need to give Endeavor another try. I don't remember it being anything special

I heard the same thing about Karbach Hop Delusion and Buffalo Bayou's DIPA too though. The Hop Delusion was good but not great, and the BB was a mess.

I will look for it fresh though, and it's pretty cheap, so that helps.

Maybe something is wrong with your palette.

Not sure where to place this, but has anyone had Red Brick Hoplanta?

On an unrelated note..

Have any of you tried Premium Draught in Houston for growler fills?

I think that it was extremely reasonable in price

I got the 3 64oz pours that I had in yesterday's FBD thread for 45 bucks yesterday.

I though that was cheap. I've never filled in Houston before, is it that cheap everywhere?

maybe, since I'm the lone Pliny defender here

seriously though, that Buffalo Bayou was a terrible malt mess. I've had old IPAs that were still good beers despite losing their hop punch. This wasn't one of them.
