I ordered 12/19/13. Still no shipment. Anyone else order about the same time?

I am beginning to wonder if I should order my Easter Ham now.

It's weird that they have such a long lead time on shipping. If you go to the actual store you can buy anything they sell, no problem. i've been a few times and there is always tons of their product there. luckily the folks live in knoxville and my Dad just drives to the smoke house and he ships me what i want.

My shipment arrived yesterday. The bacon was thick sliced and heavily smoked. Very good bacon, just not greater than what can be acquired in Acadiana. I'll savor the remaining 3 pounds. Not sure I'll re-order unless the back-order situation improves.

Call them. After about a month and a half, if I haven't received my shipment, I'll call them. Usually shipped within a day or two after the call.

Also, a good chance Alan Benton will be the one you're talking to.

I like Nueske's better than Benton's anyway.

My wife and I tried to describe what exactly it was that was "off." What we came up with is the salt cure. It has a glorious heavy smoke, but in the end, the salty taste lingered.

It is neat that they can ship it unrefrigerated due to the salt cure. So there's that.

To repeat myself, it is very good bacon.

My shipment arrived a little bit earlier than the 3-4 weeks estimated time, I loved the bacon.
