Smart Post strikes again

Placed my order on January 27th. Shipping UPS until it got to NOLA, then USPS. Never got the package even though the confirmation number says it was delivered on 2/13. Contacted the company and they said USPS determined it couldn't be delivered, so they sent it back to them.

I live in New Orleans, the complete incompetence of the standard USPS somehow is multiplied by 100 in this city.

I feel you. I'm waiting on a package too and I got this email message yesterday:

Is there a poster on the OT that posts under the name Captain Hindsight? I feel like there are some good opportunities for Captain Hindsight to make an appearance on the OT. SOmebody get on this.

Last year, I ordered a part from an Amazon reseller. Part came in and was completely different than the description and photo. Contacted Amazon, they put me in touch with the reseller, accepted the return, no problem. I sent it back Smart Post.

Two weeks later, package was showing sitting in a DC in California. Contacted USPS to ask why it hadn't been delivered. Finally had someone tell me the package was lost. Lost.

Three months later, I got a call from the reseller. The package showed up, and they were trying to find out why I had returned it after such a long time. Explained the situation, and sent them a copy of the "Lost" email. Sent me my money back.

Three months, folks.

I hate this. The accountability is null

It shows in this thread too.

UPS should stay UPS.
FedEx should stay FedEx.
USPS should just stay away.
