And it's just my opinion that Bregman will be the greatest Tiger when he's done. Todd Walker is my favorite player of all time but Bregman is slowly changing that and I'll think he'll be better than Walker.

this, i'm a fan of all these new kids and stuff, but in my heart (doesn't mean shite i know) they have to get some hardware before they jump any of the greats

You have to have a great team to get hardware, we're not talking greatest teams of all time. Bregman can be the GOAT and not make a regional in 4 years.

That error will taint his legacy unless he wins one.

I mean, it's absolutely unbelievable to me how many boxtards forget about Belle. How can one not say he's the greatest LSU baseball player ever?

Easy, when he was a cancer to the team, especially when he was kicked off just as they were going to post season. I don't care about how great someone is if that person is a negative force on the team. Joey Belle was.

No it won't. That error didn't cost us a National Championship. Our bats cost us more than that error.

Instead, Bertman had to kick Belle off of the team late in the year, and we finished 3rd after the 10 inning loss to national champ Stanford.

And why did Bertman have to kick Belle off the team? Anyone? It was because he charged the stands at a home game after hearing some LSU fans yelling at him for being a lazy f**k. He always played half-arse in right field.

I love how everyone has a different fabricated story about Belle's anger problems.

I think more than a few LSU fans were on him more than usual too because he was black. Just my opinion.

It's also been proven a corked bat does nothing to help and may in fact hurt.

So why was he suspended for 10 games (reduced to 7 games because of protests by the player's union) when he was caught using a corked bat?

And his 'defense' for using the corked bat?: "That wasn't my bat they tested."

Hell, no! He may not even be voted into the Hall of Fame because of his cheating.

Eddie Furness belongs up there.
My prediction about Bregman includes his pro career. Furniss never made it to the big leagues.

The pitcher's were on steroids too.
Not all pitchers were. And Belle was hitting 100% of the time on steroids.

We're not talking about a HR derby guys. Hitting hr's and having power doesn't make you the GOAT.

You can't be so blind to think that his performance in the CWS isn't holding his legacy back at this point...

He went 0-8 AND had an error that led to two runs and an early exit... Love me some Bregman, but he's gonna have to do better than that in the CWS before he leaves or that will haunt him.

A sophomore who's only played three games in his sophomore year doesn't have a "legacy" yet.

It's altering his equipment and against the rules. There are lots of old wives tales and superstitions that people believe. Baseball players are not immune to them.

LINK

This link breaks it down using physics. The bat speed increased due to a lighter bat is negated since the weight of the bat is much lighter. Thus, it is probably placebo. However, due to being able to accelerate the bat quicker, perhaps one could wait and help with pitch recognition, but that's shaky at best.
