A Kentucky pastor who starred in a reality show about snake-handling in church has died -- of a snakebite.
Jamie Coots died Saturday evening after refusing to be treated, Middleborough police said.
On "Snake Salvation," the ardent Pentecostal believer said that he believed that a passage in the Bible suggests poisonous snakebites will not harm believers as long as they are anointed by God. The practice is illegal in most states, but still goes on, primarily in the rural South.

I know lots of Pentecostal people and not a one of them handles snakes.

I think we all owe the snake a thank you. Now he won't be able to spew his ignorance anymore.

It's natural selection at work. Hopefully this one wasn't able to breed before he got zipped out of the evolutionary chain.

He ought to have had his sister milk them prior to the service.

I watch one episode and I believe it was that guy's son got bite by a snake. He laid there on a cott overnight in severe pain trying to pray and he survived, but reality tv isn't always well reality.

Such a funny scene. Makes a guy wonder WTF people who do this stuff for real are thinking.
Snakes are gonna snake.
Snakes are gonna snake.

No different from these Christian Science people who don't believe in getting modern medical treatment. Many have allowed their own children to die. At least this guy basically offed himself.
