Listened to a radio interview recently and the head of a training facility was talking about all the NFL hopefuls that were there working on both on-the-field and off-the-field aspects. Among those there were several LSU players that are not expected to go high, if at all, in the draft. My question is, who is paying for these workouts? What if the player never draws an NFL paycheck? This facility brought in a lot of professionals and worked on things like wonderlic prep, nutrition and fitness, strength and agility, plus skills required to play your position at the next level. It was apparent the player was there for weeks. It's got to be a very expensive endeavor!

I would imagine the agents pay for it with an obligation to repay out of initial contract. Now what happens if they don't get an initial contact is a good question that idk the answer to

Agents make bets, too. I have no doubt that an agent would sign and pay for 10 kids with the hope that 3-5 make it.

^ This. Andrew Brandt taught one of my classes and brought in an agent to speak to us. Most of the agents in the business are fighting over 5-7 round scraps or undrafted players. They make gambles and sometimes they lose. However, sometimes they win big. The agent that spoke with us was Jahri Evans agent.
