I mean it's like commuting an hour for a job. But I would shoot myself in the face having to deal with the river bridge traffic.

Plus you couldn't really have a social life.

For a commute like that I would be forced to drive this super small car that has a 45 MPG.

1 hour in perfect conditions. I couldn't imagine spending at least two hours of my day just getting to and from school.

Just to park in a fricking parking spot at LSU you need one of those cars.

I knew a guy who commuted to LSU law school from north of Alexandria. Once in a while he slept over at somebody's apartment, but most days he drove.

I can see why the law guy commuted... But why didn't your brother just get something cheap and close to campus to stay at? That gas adds up.

He has a wife and kids... She doesn't want to leave the town she grew up in. He decided to change careers.

I offered him a place at my house, but he always drove home.

Ah, that makes more sense. I was assuming he was college-aged.

No... Let's just say it took starting a family before he decided to make a good living, and he only had to go back for a year.

I drove over an hour my senior year of high school because I didn't want to switch schools. In Houston, not LSU. Still sucked bawls though

When I lived with my parents, I commuted from Walker. The drive there wasn't bad (40 minutes), but if I didn't get the frick off campus by 4pm, it would be a 2-hour drive home.
