Does anyone really take this clown serious?

The screaming and whining schick is old.. really really old.

He speaks like a uneducated thug from the ghetto. All he does is engage and initiate confrontations and comes across as a complete a-hole. His predictions are always wrong and I get the vibe that no one at ESPN really likes the guy.

what a shite dick this guy is

As much as I don't like him, he isn't as bad as Cowherd or Bayless.

His bluster and indignation were entertaining for me the first time or two. That was years ago. I guess he knows that it doesn't matter what he says, as long as he has that outrage and that tone and that cadence

He has at least taken time to apologize to an athlete on air. Not person to person, but still apologized to Vilma for everthibg he said during Bountygate.
Also said he felt extremely uncomfortable about the turn of the discussion, when asked if RG3 was black enough.

I agree with pretty much everything you said. I do not like the guy. I'm tired of how pompous he sounds.

If you don't like Cowherd you need to stop watching TV. He's really good and will be the face of sports radio/tv and if he moves on he'll be bigger than that too.

Cowherd is nothing more than a pompous arse that thinks his shite don't stink. He's said the dumbest thing of the 3. Said New Orleans had NO good restaurants or hotels downtown. Really?

I feel like this thread could have been made about any screaming/overly enthusiastic ESPN talking head, but yeah Stephen A. sucks.

All these people will complain about how terrible he is yet turn their television to First Take tomorrow morning to listen to what he has to say.

That's really all there is to it.

Yeah he was Memphis earlier this week and stopped by one of the sports radio shows I listen to every day. They basically spent the entire time talking about his career path. He seemed like a genuine great person, who worked his absolute arse off to get where he is.

I really have no idea if Stephen A. Smith sucks....

....every time I see him on TV, he's just acting in the manner that ESPN tells him to act. He's no journalist; he's a puppet, and ESPN has their hand firmly lodged inside of him (and many other "characters" as well).

Stephen A. Smith might be a decent guy, but I'll never know until I hear how he speaks and behaves OFF the clock. I do know, however, that he's very good at portraying someone that I despise with the fire of a thousand suns.

He was asked on the radio why he decided to do TV and not write as much anymore. He gave an answer I loved that was something along the lines of, "I may not be a republican or a democrat, but I am a big fan of capitalism."
