Hammink and TQ at the lead. Then they'll get the ball stolen back from them.

I would kill for Johnny to be Dale Brown 2.0. Multiple final four visits, other Elite Eight trips, almost automatic NCAA tournament appearances, routinely beating top 5 teams during the regular season...

Sign me up.

I've been wondering that too.
I see the box & 1 and the triangle & 2 suiting our present personnel well. Quick, defensive guards up front to steal/disrupt/trap. bigger guys in the 4 point or 3 point zone behind them.
Interchange those with our man-man & full court press and you use our talents and totally confuse our opponents. It's not that hard for the players to learn, I believe.
I also think our players would enjoy it and become energized,

Requires speed and stamina though. Have our bigs got it?

Will the recruits coming in next season be able to make this team average 100 per game? That's LSU's only possible chance if they're going to play without being coached.

I know this is a joke thread but IMO we need to simplify our defense. Preach hard nosed man to man in your face principles. Even if it isn't our best defense personnel wise it will hopefully get these guys energized and interested in playing defense

For the record, Dale did not come up with the Freak D. An assistant coach w/ the Portland Trailblazers at the time came down for a few days and installed it. The guy was a good friend of Dale's and offered to help out. I wish I could remember that guys name. He was the step father of my room mate at the time.

Johnny and Dale have one thing in common neither one of them has a clue on coaching talent. With LSU's talent they should be a tourney team easy.

But there aint no Cameron or Chavis on the current JJ staff to bail the head coach out of trouble. The entire staff appears to be basketball Corey Raymond's. BTW, I could totally care less who doesn't like that statement. I state my opinion and move on. Don't really care what the Pumpers and Fartknockers have to say about their worshipped gods.

I'll take any type of defense, in fact, I'll take any single player playing defense besides Mickey making blocks.

Defensive schemes for this team is getting to be like the secret playbook for football.

Les wins championships and averaged 10 game win seasons. Dale and JJ can't do that.
