The Racism never ends: LINK

quote:

Well, I'm afraid it's quite serious because the framers created a system that was designed to avoid one principle thing, the concentration of power in any one branch. Because that balancing between these branches in this fixed orbit is what not only gives stability to our system but it protects us against authoritarian power, it protects civil liberties from abuse.

And what we've been seeing is the shift of gravity within that system in a very dangerous way that makes it unstable, and I think that's what the president is doing. I think that we've become a nation of enablers. We are turning a blind eye to a fundamental change in our system. I think many people will come to loathe that they remained silent during this period.

quote:

And I think that many people will look back at this period in history and see nothing but confusion as to why people remained so silent when the president asserted these types of unilateral actions. You have a president who is claiming the right to basically rewrite or ignore or negate federal laws. That is a dangerous thing

I saw that interview the other night. This morning the California Representative Garamendia (D) said that it was within the law written that Obama could do that. It's in the constitution that he can't but those dems think since they write a law it will trump the constitution.
I'm hoping that Remington has a swing by D.C. when they move to Alabama.

It really is stunning the degree to which the Dems in Congress are ready to allow Obama to usurp power.
They must actually believe that there will never be another GOP president again.

Turley came close to the truth when he said it was becoming a Cult of Personality with Obama. I say close, because he missed it just a little.

It's already a Cult of Personality with Obama supporters.

I don't know how you can legally stop it. I think the next Rep pres should abuse it so badly, that it forces Congress and the Courts to make whatever legal changes to whatever document is needed to completely remove the President's ability to order anything extraneous to existing law. Maybe the Supreme Court will have to review every executive order before it can be effected.

There also needs to be a way to force the executive branch to execute the existing laws and not choose to ignore those they don't like.

You can't

1. You go through the court system that could take years.

2. The States ignore anything coming out of DC

3. Lamp post and hemp

True Constitutional Conservatives like Paul, Cruz et al...should admit that the RINOS don't have the dedication to stop it; so, we'll have to use it as a blessing in disguise...WHEN the whole system collapse and Red America thumbs the Population Centers, takes over their own communities, and then progresses to forcibly put Government back where it belongs. Off the backs of responsible folk.

And all that Executive Power will come in handy, during that collapse, reboot and 'transition'. There is NO WAY that we'll be able to do what has to be done and remain within the (old) constraints of the Constitution. Lemons...into lemonade.

I've heard that what goes around, comes around; and that "I will take the wise in their own craftiness" (Biblical)....looks to me like that's what's coming. Obama is just setting the table. He'll probably be...what's for dinner.

No. What they believe is that their Komrades in the Media will carry their water for them and express faux OUTRAGE at such an unconstitutional act.

Well why should The Noble Idea be constrained by a 200+ year old document? And why should a Transformative Leader like The Dear Leader allow himself to accept the artificial constructs of a bunch of dead white guys?

Separation of Powers is a sucker's game, and for Reactionaries.
The Revolution requires more... um...elbow room.
Forward, bitches!

Dems, actually scratch that, all politicians are so fricking shortsighted it amazes me. They have no concept that power they are using today could and will be used against them one day. They're living in a fantasy land if they think they'll be in power forever. frick them for instigating and continuing the cycle as no doubt the GOP will pull the same shite when they get back in power.

For example, Harry Reid moaned and wailed against the republicans using the nuclear option when Bush was president and that POS has the nerve to actually use the nuclear option.

I really hate politicians.

I think he was actually speaking to the media, though. Can you imagine the media letting a republican getting away with such extra-constitutional usurpation of power?

Bush is taking a page from Bill Clinton's playbook by adopting a series of mini-initiatives to change policy through executive orders and administration actions that don't require legislation. An example: He recently ordered some military aviation routes cleared for "express lanes" to facilitate commercial flights along the congested East Coast to reduce delays during the holidays. It seemed a popular move and gained him lots of media attention, even though bad weather and a severely strained air-traffic-control system could easily foil the plan. Bush also ordered increases in compensation for airline passengers who are bumped from overbooked flights (although it won't take effect for several months). Other unilateral moves are in the pipeline to improve healthcare for injured war veterans, allow more farm workers to enter the country legally, and promote alternative fuels and reduce the use of foreign oil. Although these solo actions may not go very far, Bush has little choice. His influence with the Democratic majority in Congress is dwindling fast as he enters his final year in office.

quote:

Obama’s policy strategy: Ignore laws

Conservatives were angry when Janet Napolitano announced the administration would stop deporting certain undocumented immigrants, but they should have seen it coming. On issue after issue — gay rights, drug enforcement, Internet gambling, school achievement standards — the administration has chosen to achieve its goals by a method best described as passive-aggressive.

Rather than pushing new laws through a divided Congress to enact his agenda, Obama is relying on federal agencies to ignore, or at least not defend, laws that some of his important supporters — like Hispanic voters and the gay community — don’t like.

“If the president says we’re not going to enforce the law, there’s really nothing anyone can do about it,” University of Pennsylvania constitutional law professor Kermit Roosevelt said. “It’s clearly a political calculation.

The Progs see the difference, NC...that's why they support Obama and decry Bush. Whatever it takes...to "fundamentally change the nation".

Of course, when the day comes that whatever hardcore head guy up there is charged to restore order, and they put a military ring around the Urban populations to keep them from hooking up with the Rednecks in the country, and folk like you and me do what the Left is doing now - justify it - then, it'll be a ton of whining.

"He that leadeth into captivity...goeth into captivity" (Biblical).

If history teaches us anything, it's that there is hell to pay when the pendulum swings back too far. These things correct, but usually only after a sizeable body count and major societal collapse.

Its hilarious. After years of frothing-at-the-mouth anger that everything Bush did was wrong, liberals now want Bush to be the standard Obama is judged against.

Yes, one is history, one is now. Which one do you think is the problem?

Why don't you go find something Rutherford B. Hayes did dumbass, would be about as relevant.

That's one thing libs cannot get through their thick skulls. Conservatives didn't like Bush all that much either (but he sure as shite was better than gore or kerry would have been, demonstrably smarter than both, too).
