NEW ORLEANS – The Denver Nuggets and Cleveland Cavaliers have inquired about trading for Idaho Stampede point guard Pierre Jackson of the NBA Development League, a league source informed CSNNW.com.

At the current time, the New Orleans Pelicans, who own Jackson’s rights, have not been approached with a deal to their liking, another source explained

wish the Pelicans would bring him up for a few games just to try him out before trading him

If Pierre gets traded and goes off on another team... Monty better start packing his bags(which I am sure he has already started a bit).

If they don't do this I'll be made as hell. I mean come on, we have to watch Roberts and Rivers every damn game.

Wouldn't this fall on Demps and not Monty?

They better not trade him before getting a look at him first.

I don't care if they get decent value out of him like:

Pierre + Aminu for Wilson Chandler

Pierre + Gordon for Waiters + filler with Waiters going to a 3rd team like Cleveland and us getting some smaller assets back like the Portland pick and Gerald Henderson

But Jackson's going to be an exciting offensive player if he doesn't bust, so I'm sure most of you are going to bitch to high heaven even if he gets traded for something that makes the team better than he would.

Exactly. I don't care if we see him or not as long as we get something really good in return. It's actually smart to not play in the NBA right now. His value is sky high at the moment. Playing him in NBA games is a huge risk should he not perform.

Both of them can pack their shite and get out, if they trade him away and he goes off.

Demps would be turning a 2nd round pick into a quality asset. We should be praising him if he gets anything useful for Pierre.

I agree. He has not proven his worth yet IMO.

There is some serious ignorance being spouted in this thread.

Whether trading Jackson is a good idea depends, at least in part, on the trade that happens or trades declined.

Jackson has not played an NBA minute. He was passed over 41 times in the draft. Maybe all those GM's were wrong... Maybe the D-League has made him a better NBA talent. Maybe part of his value is hype... temporary hype.

As such, it is a good idea to get a reasonable haul if it is something you want... It is worth exploring. If not, they have Plan A: he's the rookie next season.

These are good problems to have.

Great post, you want to get value for him like helping us get rid of Gordon's contract.
Someone else brought up a Waiters/Jack for Jackson/Gordon, how would y'all fell about that.
