A question for some of the older LSU sports fans

Pops and I love LSU football and baseball (baseball for me more than pops). Our business is in Lake Charles so we support McNeese sports' programs but rarely attend games here.
We attended their fundraising auction a few weeks ago and bought some package deals for LSU baseball tickets. One of the deals was attending the MSU @ LSU game and traveling with the team and sitting in the dugout for the game at The Box.
So here's my two part dilemma- first, going with a team to play the team I love. Second, pops and I will be the oldest dudes in the dugout. Would anybody else feel strange sitting there or should I just shut up and enjoy the atmosphere?
Obviously I wouldn't be rude and wear my purple and gold in the dugout.

You situation is interesting because LSU used to allow one fan to sit in the dugout for certain home games. It was based on some type of lottery system among donors. LSU discontinued that practice and the reason given was some BS "liability" reasons about if the fan got hit and injured by a hard foul ball.....blah, blah, blah.

Stay quiet until they come back to the dugout after pregame warmup. Then Tiger Bait the shite out of them. I'm sure they'll be cool with it.

I'm the head of fundraising for McNeese Atletics. It's nice to know when people don't appreciate opportunities at the expense of an actual fan.
I'll be in touch

You and your Pop should attend the game and sit in the dugout. Be cool and not wear LSU gear and try not to cheer to much for the Tigers. That trip will make for many memories that you will treasure after Pop is gone. The players know the situation and will most likely not have any problem with your presence. This is a great opportunity for you and most of all Pop. Just do it.

Enjoy the game with your Pop.

you are getting a rare opportunity to see a baseball game from the player's perspective...just enjoy the experience...
if you are in their dugout, I think you owe it to them to be classy and act in a supportive manner...I personally wouldn't even mention that I was an LSU fan...
