To anyone who knows. He alway acts so polite to the media and he seems classy to other coaches but my dad thinks he's probably a prick to the players and I'm curious cause I don't see how he could be a huge prick with the exception of just the normal coach screaming at players. TIA

Well, he's a competitor. You think he's just hunky dory all the time, especially when someone makes repetitive errors?

Yeh, for the most part, he's a real nice guy.

Ts pretty common knowledge that he doesnt hold his tongue with his players. He says what he thinks. Watch how pissed off he is that he has to do a tv interview in the middle of the game. He is always short with them, not that i blame him

Players don't get better if a coach isn't willing to tell them how it is and what they're doing wrong. How he goes about that can depend on the team, the player, the issue at hand, etc. It's not meant to all be roses

I understanding the coaching side of it. Coaches have to coach. I'm just curious to how he acts in general if he is pretty cool most of the time or if he is some smug prick who doesn't owe anyone respect or something like that.

I know a former player very well, and he thinks highly of him. He says CPM is no nonsense and doesn't pull punches, but he said he is very fair and gives everyone a shot.

I've also been around CPM away from the media but in semi-public (I don't know him personally), and he is a class act. I'm proud that he's representing LSU.

The times iv met and talked with him, he was a real class act, very nice and respectful, up front with me and my parents, showed great confidence in LSU and the baseball program, and represented LSU very well! He has the qualities you want in a coach.
