We may keep Martin and mickey. We can still get in the tourney with a big win or a run in the tourney (sec).

Even if they don't, I'll be at the games next year

Yes we will

Both require us to win games away from Baton Rouge, so no.

Hope we keep Martin and Mickey. May be the silver lining in all this.

Who takes JOB's spot next year?

There's no way Martin will be a first round pick this year. While earlier I thought Mickey might be able to sneak into the back of the first round, in this year's draft I just don't think it's going to happen. Both should return. Really JOBIII should return as well, but I think his mind is made up and LSU's 2014 signing class provides further evidence that he is gone.

Is it even a given that he leaves at this point?

I get that he probably is sick of school at this point, but is an undersized 5 really going to get drafted and if not is he willing to go overseas?

I think it's refreshing we have enough LSU basketball interest to have a mini-meltdown after last night.

If this happened two years ago, few would give a shite. Yeah, people are calling out the coach and players but the program is going in a positive direction when you step back and look at the big picture. The closer we get to greatness, the more the chicken-littles will pop up and tell us LSU can't make it.

We were never ranked in the top 25 this year so all those people saying this season was squandered maybe a little delusional. But I love the energy.

Could be very good next year. I agree that we keep Mickey and Martin.

Roster could look something like this:

1. Hickey (Sr)
*Quarterman (So)
*Patterson (Fr)

2. Gray (Jr)
*Morgan (Jr)

3. Hornsby (Jr)
*Bridgewater

4. Martin (So)
*Epps (Fr)

5. Mickey (So)
*Robinson (Fr)
*Malone (So)

Pretty sure he doesn't want to come back and get double/triple teamed every game. That has to be frustrating.

I've ceased to be optimistic about THIS team. Still very excited about the future of this program, still think Coach Jones is our man and I'll still cheer us on hard every game, but I'm not gonna lie to myself with shite like:

The good news is that the SEC Tournament isn't an "Away" set of games.

The bad news is we still can play like shite in a non-away environment -> see Rhode Island.

If some how this coaching staff does not teach these kids how to play defense when on the road we can sign the top 5 players and it won't matter.

The only way it will be a good year is if the expectations are realistic. Some of the clowns on this board were predicting a sweet 16 from this team. That was just retarded thinking. For those who went into this year thinking this was a NCAA bubble/NIT team, this year hasn't really been that bad.

Bridgewater

I hope he doesn't make it honestly.

His "success" at Scotlandville predicated on him being bigger and stronger than everybody that guarded him, that won't be the case at the college level. He has no offensive game outside of a 2 foot radius under the basket.

Did you purposely leave off Hammink and Odo or do you think they both will be gone?
