For that price I'll stick with my Cajun anchor.

Sheeit, coonass can make that for $20-30.

You'll be seeing homemade versions all over the place.

Meh. Nothing special. I don't like drilling into my boat, much less for a cajun anchor support, and even less for the shitload they want.

I'll stick with my regular cajun anchor for inshore.

I've got the DigIn 10' pole.Same concept. Love it because it's up front and I can control the entire boat. I can stop my 20 Alum Bay in up to 6' water.

Wayyy too expensive for what you are getting. DigIn seems to be the exact same product. Any OBer that can weld; here is your opportunity to make a fortune selling these for $100 each.

I have two Cajun anchors. One made from PVC and the other made from an old broom stick.

Cajun anchor for the marsh. Regular anchor for the bays, etc. Don't see any reason for anything else.

ETA: You're talking about a yak, right? I rigged up a 10lb mushroom anchor and a sliding rig so I can position the anchor in the front or the back. I know 10lbs is probably overdoing it but I'd rather have too much anchor than too little.

I use a plough anchor. Great holding power for way less weight. Mine is 1kg, got it at Pack &Paddle in Laffy.

Also have various Cajun anchors, aluminum, PVC, rebar; homemade and store bought.

I built my own for my bow (have a 8ft talon on stern) and I built it out of a brass lightening rod and welded an eyelet on the top. Heavy and sturdy. Have even put it through some oyster beds. Think overall cost was $15.
