Honestly they should be hauled out of the capitol and tar & feathered on the steps.

They didn't want to distract from the current dumpster-fire of the Democratic party, and I see why they did it. You have to pick your fights, and with the current media being bought and paid for, they really had no power or choice, except let Obama go ahead and extend it by Presidential decree(which he almost did last time). Focus on winning the Senate, and castigate them if they do it again...Remember to never let a Dem back in office, and if you haven't learned with this President, we are all lost to the wind...

I understand maybe not shutting down the Gov't like last time, but they could have at least pushed for some minor spending cuts or something rather than just not even trying.

I know, but the media would have had them taking food out of the mouth of babies, killing baby seals....They made a choice, and it was the right one, and I'm nauseated even thinking about it, but it was the right call...Win the Senate, that's what everything rests on...

I am going to bump this thread in 2015 after the GOP takes the senate and still votes to raise the debt ceiling, with the excuse being "We can't jeopardize our chances of winning the White House next year" or "We just did all this work to gain the senate, we can't just throw it all away"
The media will always oppose Republicans and Conservatives, no matter what, they will always find something to smear them with, might as well stand up for what is right.

Awesome! I love that the R's are so divided. Keep it up guys!
Just remember BugAC - compromise is bullshite. The Founders didn't compromise (ever) - neither should your elected leaders! Make sure they vote in total lockstep with their ideals - or vote them out!

Yes. It is awesome. Why do you want career politicians who make the same shitty decisions and bring us shite like Obamacare, in office forever?
There is a difference between conservatives and you. We actually want what is best for the country, party be damned. You want what is best for the party, the country and individual be damned.

There is compromising, then there is capitulating. There is a difference.

Obama and the Dems idea of compromise is "my way or the highway".
You know that, Tuba. You're not intellectually honest enough to admit it.

I've updated the OP. Only 3 Senators are up for Re-election. McConnel, Cornyn, and Collins. McConnel and Cornyn have a good chance of being replaced. Collins is basically a Democrat anyway. Not sure if any strong Republican is challenging her. All of the House is up for re-election, with a few retiring. It appears that majority California and NY voted for this shite. Not surprising. The key is Boehner. Hope someone can replace him in Ohio.
