My gas furnace stops blowing hot air and then the fan just runs ?

Has happened 3 times this year... middle of the night, after having been working fine, it just stops blowing cold air and the fan just runs nonstop...No matter what I do at the thermostat, I can't get the fan to stop...Have to kill the breaker to reset it...what's the deal ?

Mine did the same thing awhile back. It was the exhaust fan that kept running and wouldn't kick off. I tapped on the relay switch and the fan would stop and the heater would kick back on.
Try that. If it works then you may need to change the motherboard.
