Question on Chris Garrett

Was watching an old Outside the Lines episode and it was on former LSU quarterback Chris Garrett. He pretty much said LSU got rid of his scholarship and never told him they intended to do so.
Miles said Garrett had a weak work ethic which lead to his scholarship being taken away to make room for incoming freshmen.
I didn't really follow LSU football back then as much as I do now so I was curious to see the boards opinion on Garrett and the situation.

A scholarship is a one year agreement.
If I sign a one year contract with my employer show up late to work, never bill, and eat all the donuts that "were for everyone" I wouldn't expect my contract to be renewed.

Didn't work at all, gained weight.
Was so lazy I don't think he even pursued football once he was gone. (Not 100% though)

He got fat at LSU and left for Northwestern St. He then left there for Ole Miss where he is now. His dad is Ms. State, in fact, alumni chairman. He works at the hospital in Tupelo and my RN wife knows him. He's a medical supply company rep,/salesman that goes to my wife's surgery dept I don't think he's on the football team, just a student. His dad is Ms.State, I don't know why he's at OM. If he has to sit out a year, then walk on, I just don't know about it, and it has not been in the paper here.
