Stolen from Saints board.

first-pick.com

How happy would you be with this draft? They said to keep it realistic keep your trades under 2.

Round 1Pick 17 Cyril Richardson OG Baylor
Round 2 Pick 16 DaQuan Jones DT Penn State
Round 3 Pick 28 (From Carolina) Chris Smith DE Arkansas
Round 4 Pick 19 Bashaund Breeland CB Clemson
Round 4 Pick 28 (From Carolina) Aaron Murray QB Georgia
Round 5 Pick 19 Boseko Lokombo OLB Oregon
Round 5 Pick 28 (From Carolina) Andrew Jackson ILB Western Kentucky
Round 6 Pick 18 Hakeem Smith SS Louisville
Round 6 Pick 28 (From Carolina) Jeremy Gallon WR Michigan
Round 7 Pick 14 Denicos Allen OLB Michigan State
Round 7 Pick 17 Tyler Gaffney RB Stanford
Round 7 Pick 23 Carrigton Byndom CB Texas

ETA- I can break it down when I get home. On phone now. A little D heavy but seems solid with a couple steals at the end. You make your own draft btw so these are my picks

Heavy on the defensive side where they really need help.

first pick better be a D lineman or the best safety in the draft.

I'd laugh if they take a Center and then a Guard with back to back first rounders when they had the worst defense in the league last season.

I like your overall emphasis on the defense where the real problems are, thus I sincerely hope

is wrong. The first pick has to be the best defensive player available.

it was te best available. It's a weak FS class and I didn't want to reach for Dion Bailey. It's a solid D-Line class so you can afford a looser first round.

Round 1Pick 17 Cyril Richardson OG
Honestly I was trying for a good grade here. I HATE this pick. And we all know how great the last few Baylol linemen have been in the league. Chalk it up to a typical wasted Jerry pick.

Round 2 Pick 16 DaQuan Jones DT Penn State
D-line is by far the biggest need. We couldn't stop the run to save our life so here is the start of the solution. Could push for a starting position.

Round 3 Pick 28 (From Carolina) Chris Smith DE Arkansas
I've seen this guy go anywhere from the first to the fifth. Good value for a late 3rd pick. Could also start opposite Ware sans free agent pickup.

Round 4 Pick 19 Bashaund Breeland CB Clemson
You can never have enough corners. Carr had a terrible year, Claiborne was hurt all year, and I have never liked Scandrick (however last year showed he was capable more than in his career so far) This pick solidifies the position with depth.

Round 4 Pick 28 (From Carolina) Aaron Murray QB Georgia
This would be a dream come true. Murray can sling it. He has a pro arm and is a realistic chance in the 4th due to the ACL tear. Let him sit a year behind Tony (knowledge and recovery with NFL doctors) then hopefully takes over sooner than later.

Round 5 Pick 19 Boseko Lokombo OLB Oregon
Not a flashy pick, but hopefully will be a solid player. He can bring some speed to the Dallas D that looked slow last year.

Round 5 Pick 28 (From Carolina) Andrew Jackson ILB Western Kentucky
I have no idea who this guy is honestly. But we need depth at ILB. We have star power (Lee) and potential star power (Carter) but both can't seen to break free of injuries. Was the best value and depth is a real need.

Round 6 Pick 18 Hakeem Smith SS Louisville
We have needed both safety positions to be solid since the days of Darren Woodson. This is the next guy up mentality. If he can be good with a rookie pay scale then that's great with our cap situation. Decent value and was available.

Round 6 Pick 28 (From Carolina) Jeremy Gallon WR Michigan
The second absolute steal for us. This guy is a gamer and can catch anything thrown his way. With Dez being Dez and Terrance Williams stepping up as the outside guys, we need a solid slot. Hopefully Miles Austin is on the way out of town, and Gallon is an upgrade over Beasley.

Round 7 Pick 14 Denicos Allen OLB Michigan State
Another steal. This guy has gone from late second to 5th usually. How he falls to the 7th is puzzling, but we happily will take him. He is a tackle machine and provides the depth we lack.

Round 7 Pick 17 Tyler Gaffney RB Stanford
The perfect compliment to DeMarco Murray. He is a bruiser that slams into the D between the tackles and wears them down. Loved watching him play this year at Stanford and would love to have him on the team. Tough guy.

Round 7 Pick 23 Carrigton Byndom CB Texas
The reason for this pick is interesting. Claiborne A) doesn't fit our scheme and B)is always hurt. We make this pick and that means we could flip Claiborne for future picks while the potential is still there. This guy seemed solid for Texas for multiple years. Think he is a great pick up late 7th.

So there's the reasoning behind my picks. Feel free to analyze or better yet, go to the site and draft your own. All you need is a fake e-mail, and it's addicting.

That would be a good pick there. He's pretty nasty.

I haven't paid too close attention to rankings this season, but are both of these guys really going to be available this late in the draft?

I think they would be good pickups, fwiw.

I have no idea. That's how things fell in that particular instance. The backend of what I did is loaded starting with Murray IMO

small WR, but he's a gamer. I think he'll be a nice slot guy in the NFL.

Very solid tackler, really made some big plays for MSU during his time

My expectations are soo low.

We need a decent D, knowing Jerry we will draft for offense in the first 2 rounds, and then project picks on D the rest of the draft.

WTF do I root for this team?

Would you really say drafting 2 underwhelming DTs to the NFL would be a good take anywhere?

Ego is a good player and what do you expect out of a third round pick? Yea ill take a guy with a ton of potential in the 3rd round when it's the biggest need and I've already got a good player in the 2nd round.
